MHS classes cancelled because of rabbit

This so cheered me up yesterday, mostly because of people's comments. It's from the Gallup Herald, via Facebook

QUOTE:
GALLUP -- The power outage that caused classes to be cancelled at Miyamura High School Jan. 18 was caused by a rabbit that got into the school transformer, according to a school official.
David Irving, director, school district construction projects, said a rabbit that burrowed into the school's transformer penetrated key electrical systems causing it to shorten.
"The rabbit was fried but it only took an hour and a half to repair it," Irving said.
     Classes were resumed Jan. 19.
Principal Frank Chiapetti said he will need to check with Central Office as to how or whether the Jan. 18 cancellation of classes needs to be made up.
"We have enough time built into the calendar so I  don't think it will result in extra time needed to fulfill the calendar year," he said.
The Friday before the Christmas holiday firefighters were called to Miyamura High School because of a suspected electrical fire.
According to Irving a crow on a city electrical line caused a short.
"none of these issues had anything to do with the construction of the school," Irving said.

And now, some selected comments:
