During the manifestation against the Summit of the European Union - Latin American and Caribean countries several persons were arrested and beaten by the represive forces of Mexican government just because were dressed in a suspicious way. Among the arrested there are held in jail 7 members of Food Not Bombs Monterrey, Mexico. In fact one of them (Lilana Galaviz Lopez) was seriously beaten. Size of her head injury is about 10 centimeters. Until today the released persons that were with her said that she hasn't been properly attended by a doctor. These 7 persons are now in a federal prison as consignated...
The situation is really desperate for all of us. We have been searching for help with local organizations and now we request for any help you can give. We want to settle that our partners were only taking pictures and shouting against this summit and they haven't been involved in any violent acts and that they have been physically and mentally abused by the police. One of the released persons told us that they were in basements were they were beaten, photographed and in some cases naked and humilliated.
All your legal and economic help is highly appreciated. If you can help send your economic support to this account:
